TAT to produce new tourism content advertising 77 provinces

BANGKOK, 16 October 2015 (NNT) - The Tourism Authority of Thailand (TAT) will produce new online tourism content for 77 provinces, in a bid to boost domestic tourism across the nation.

TAT Governor Yuthasak Suphasorn has instructed the Office of Information Technology to create platforms for visitors to the TAT’s website to access comprehensive information about local attractions in each province.

The move is in line with the government’s policy to stimulate grassroots economies. The TAT Governor said information on popular activities and hot spots at each destination will be included on the new website, which will be launched in November.

The TAT’s main website is also undergoing maintenance and expected to be fully functional within the same month. Around 40% of the TAT’s tourism campaigns are being advertised on new media, with the remaining 60% through tourism fairs, print and broadcast media.
