Need Someone to Redo a Bathroom

I have an upstairs bathroom that is in serious need to repair/remodeling. The bathtub was moved several years ago and leaks badly. Rather than fix it again, we have decided to replace it with a shower. So the tub surround needs to be removed and a shower and shower wall/door needs to be installed, the entire bathroom probably needs to be retiled and parts of the downstairs ceiling that were damaged by water when the tub leaked need to be repaired/replaced. It is not a huge job, but it is not a small job either. Has anyone recently used and can recommend someone that can do this work at a reasonable price. I've been through a lot of contractors over the years. Most were not so good, but cheap! I just used a new one and we had a great experience. Reasonable price, very good work, reliable and honest. They fixed all the problems the previous one created and did some great new work. Tiling, roofing, paint and general repairs. He is located on Khao Talo. Very limited English. I would highly recommend this guy. We are very happy as are our 2 neighbors who are now working with him on some fairly big projects. PM me if you want his number.

I have no set budget. I need to get this work done, so I am looking for someone who is able to do a good job at a reasonable price. What more can I say?

a normal rate is around 400-500 a day + materials I would expect, that's for a standard bush builder.

a registered contractor will cost you alot more.

The guy who laid our tiles charged 500B psm. Quite reasonable.

craigt was that labour only for laying (not removing) as that seems on the high side if large floor tiles - a square meter would only be about 4? Also did it include tile cement etc?

We had very small tiles. One set was like laminated wood strips. Very hard to lay. Price included a very good install, grout, cleaning up and a coat of sealer for the terra cotta tiles. But we paid for the tiles.

Last guy we hired did a horrible job. But he was super cheap. LOL
