ANG THONG:-- Police investigating the death of an 83 year old Japanese man have arrested his 48 year old Thai wife in connection with his murder.

On Friday, Ms Poranee Napadol denied she was involved in the murder of her husband, Mr Kazuo Yoshioka, who was found dead at their home in Wiset Chai Chan on Tuesday. Forensics officers revealed Mr Yoshioka died after his throat had been slit.

On Wednesday, police arrested Poranee’s brother in law, Mr Sampan Jaemjaeng, 47, who later confessed to the murder. He also alleges that he had been paid by Poranee to kill her Japanese husband.

Police have also arrested another suspect, who is said to be a neighbour of the victim, whilst two arrest warrants have been issued for two of Poranee’s relatives who police suspect could be involved in the murder, Thai media reported.

The warrants were issued after forensic officers found bloodstains on property belonging to Ms Poranee’s younger sister. Police revealed the property is located opposite the home Poranee shared with Mr Yoshioka, where the Japanese man was found murdered.

According to the police, Samphan alleged that he was hired 40,000 baht by Ms Paranee, elder sister of his wife, to kill Yoshi-oka, with 20,000 baht upfront and the rest to be paid after the job was finished.

Samphan allegedly said he was not told why Ms Paranee wanted her husband killed but she would not be at home and would leave the air duct the bathroom open on Tuesday when the murder occurred.

Ms Paranee however denied any involvement in the murder, insisting her innocence and vowing to fight the case in the court.

The old man would have been crazy to keep 3 million bahts in cash at home. She got him murdered for just 20k to grab 3 million.

If he's got 3 million in cash lying around the house , imagine how much he had in the banks and other assets ... :0

Probably big life insurance policy too

BANGKOK: -- POLICE have charged three people over the murder of an elderly Japanese man at his Angthong home early on Tuesday morning, with the victim's Thai wife the alleged mastermind of the vicious crime.

Kazuo Yoshioka, 84, was stabbed several times in the throat and had his throat slit. A knife and scissors were used in the attack.

At a press conference Friday Yoshioka's killer, Samphan Jamjang, 46, said: "His wife wanted him dead because she had an affair with another man."

Aside from Yoshioka's wife Poranee Napadon, 48, Samphan also implicated Sarawut Sa-ardsri in the murder.

He told police that they had planned the murder three days in advance.

He alleged Poranee deliberately stayed away from her home when the murder took place but had left a door unlocked.

Imagine the neighbour who just agrees to kill a man for 20k in the hand ..... And another 20k after he's dead...

Probably a man he knew fairly well too if they lived next door for the past few years ....

Hopefully they all get life in the most uncomfortable prison Thailand has to offer

To die in such a way, deceived by a monster that you think loves you, in the home he shared with her. If she is guilty of this monstrous act she should burn, capital punishment all the way. RIP Mr Kasu-o Yoshi-oka, there is only this; at least you are away and at peace from this monstrous family!

..and the majority of people who watch them are so fixated on these mindless shows with the belief that it is actually real life....and of course,if they get away with it on t.v., then the same must be certain for them as well.

it is mindblowing!

They really needed a swat team to arrest this girl... smile.png

Why could the normal police officers with handcuffs and and guns not do it?

probably because she would have handed them some tea money and made a daring escape as we have seen almost EVERY other time the BIB have raided a house to make an arrest.

I have never seen so many criminals able to evade capture as I have seen here. It is like the BIB have no concept of surrounding a house before they make their move.

They are Thai people, they don't have a back door?

No wonder they just issue arrest warrants and expect people to turn themselves in. It's the only way they can catch someone.
