Bangkok's green lung slowly being eaten away

Had a problem in Vancouver where the adjacent land was the best agricultural land in the province. They were trying to limit things like golf courses and

subdivisions in the surrounding area. Pretty difficult, not sure what the current status is.

.....its called Richmond...haha

In Nonthaburi they built some small parks, looks nice but they are at the crossings of mainroads, under flyovers where nobody ever comes. They built expensive fences around them but i've never ever seen anybody in there.

That part of Bangkok is actually quite pretty shame to destroy it.

In Europe, along the Mediterranean coast, there are villages

that were quiet, quaint and forgotten, the developers moved

in and went crazy, they see money, the council's see tax revenue

the locals sell their garden patch to build a new Hotel, turn the

clock forward 20 years and what do you have, a slum ghetto

where the tourists go elsewhere and the building begin to fall

into neglect, welcome to progress.

Vancouver Island is experiencing land being taken out of the ALR ( agricultural land reserve ) for housing and commercial developement rapidly. It seems the government's are more concerned about a bigger tax base than good produce. We now get so much product from California, very expensive, that we grew here.
