Hello,

I just came back from our Advice store and was really positively surprised. I bought a laptop battery for my Dell a few moons ago, finally found the website, telling me that I still had 30 out of 365 days warranty on it.

Okay, I made a mistake not to buy a real one, the Chinese brands seem to suck. The battery made it only 11 months and is only holding power for about 30 minutes.

It never charged full from the beginning and a battery check program already showed me in the beginning that there's something not kosher with it.

I Googled and found Advice's website and was happy to see how easy it easy it is to check your product. Please see image. He

The only problem is that they have to send it to the capital and I guess it will take up to one month until I get it back. No problem, still got my old Dell battery that hold the power for a few minutes.

I just recently bought a DDR 2 RAM 800 Mhz memory card at Advice for only 830 baht a week ago and i really believe these are the best and reliable shops in this country.

They seem to be different to other shops. When you buy a new hard rive, the program is free. Might be not at all shops, but who knows.

Lost, I don't know of any laptop batteries that aren't made in China. Perhaps someone else does. I can say that I have bought generic laptop batteries that were made in China with good success. I just buy the one with the largest capacity that fits my laptop. When I bought my new Toshiba Satellite laptop about 1.5 years ago I immediately ordered a generic from Ebay for a spare and I rotate them. I can't tell the difference in them.

I just ordered and am waiting for delivery of a new Acer Aspire laptop and I've already ordered a spare China battery for it from Ebay.

Based on what you say, maybe you got a lemon? (Lemon is American slang for a sour one out of the lot.)

They haven't had such a battery on stock and ordered two of them. The first didn't even fit in<?>, the second did.

I'm using a program that shows the "battery wear" and it wasn't a good one from the beginning.

Stopped charging at 80 something percent, etc.

I did try a lot, let it completely discharge and more, but it didn't change a thing.

If you order one from E bay and it doesn't even fit in, the headache is already programmed.

Well, might also be the nice looking one female employee, who's single and an eye catcher, that I prefer to buy my stuff there......

Maybe a made a little mistake and seldom ran it on battery? Let's wait for an orange then......laugh.png .

This is a feature of some laptops. On my Samsung it is called Battery Life Extender. The idea is, by limiting your charge to 80% you extend the life of the battery. Look under Power Settings in Windows or maybe in BIOS to turn it off.

Nope, it's not a setting. I put my old original battery in and it charges to 100 %. I'm talking about an older DELL Inspiron
