Thai AirAsia X flight to Tokyo returns to Don Mueang after facing technical problem

BANGKOK: -- In a statement released today after the plane landed safely at the airport, Thai AirAsiaX said Flight XJ 606 departed from Bangkok Don Mueang International Airport at 10.40hrs to Tokyo Narita International Airport with a total of 343 passengers onboard (328 adult passengers, 2 infant passengers and 13 aircrew).

During the flight, some technical issues were detected and for safety reasons, the flight returned to Don Mueang International Airport at 11.25hrs.

Upon arrival, all passengers were moved to a new aircraft, which has been scheduled to depart from Don Mueang International Airport at 12.45hrs and is scheduled to arrive in Tokyo Narita International Airport at 20.45hrs, causing a 2 hour delay from the original scheduled time.

It apologized for any inconveniences caused as it continue to work towards ensuring the utmost safety for all passengers.

Wonder what was wrong? Give credit to the pilots for noticing something out of the ordinary. I hope & pray the Thai trained mechanics take their job seriously (no snook) & are highly qualified. -- As we know there has been some Thai budget carriers not to land in South Korea & Japan a few months ago.
