I got off the plane at Don Muang airport in May 1999; I took a taxi into BKK and checked in at the Amari Hotel in Sukhumwit Soi 5.

The same evening I went to Soi Cowboy and met a girl at the Black and Blue bar. I suspect the bar is now long gone.

Two days later the girl and I traveled first class by train to Hua Hin. We stayed at the old Railway Hotel. I understand that the hotel is now a Sofitel property. Back then I paid 3000 Baht per night.

We then returned to BKK and, a few days later, flew to Surat Thani. We took a ferry to Samui. Watching Samui come into view was amazing. The island seemed to be a dense mass of coconut palms.

After a week or so we went back to BKK and took a bus from Ekkamai to Pattaya. That wasn't too much fun. I didn't like Pattaya.

Eventually the girl accompanied me back to Don Muang airport. I gave her 5000 Baht, said goodbye, and flew back to London.

Overall this was a really positive experience. I liked the girl a lot and enjoyed her company.

I never saw her again, however.

So how was your first prostitute in Thailand?

I thought Thaivisa wasn't a whoremonger forum, and had an actual rule against discussing the details of prostitution.

Maybe I was thinking of somewhere else.

I shouldn't worry a quick profile view shows that our adventurous OP has been shut down as it states he is now banned.

Seriously, get a life.

The rules dictate that thou shalt not discuss the specifics of prostitution.

@Charlie. Have I got this right? I've not mentioned "specifics".

My first experience of such things in Thailand was in 1990 -- newb that I was -- when I had to wait out Chinese New Year before returning to mainland PR China. I made my first trip to Pattaya as that was a place I could travel to from the old Don Muang airport without having to get on another <deleted>' airplane.

Many of the rooms nearby me at the hotel in Pattaya had guys who had brought back Thai girls to stay with them in their rooms and at night you could hear screaming and fighting from most of those rooms.

I thought then and there there has to be a better way than that.

i met my first (and last) Thai girlfriend on a flight Bangkok-Hong Kong-Osaka. she was a hostess of Air Siam. that was 42 years ago. if she had not died in an accident a few months later i might have a Thai wife now. later, for a few years i "met" a number of Thai girls till my fiancée and later wife disapproved of me "meeting" Thai girls. even now, at advanced age, she does not approve that i "meet" any Thai girl... which i think is quite unreasonable dry.png

17) You will not discuss the specifics of prostitution. Though Thailand has a visible sex industry, and acknowledgement of that fact is not forbidden, ThaiVisa is not the place to seek or give information on this topic, regardless of your sexual habits, preferences or orientation.
