The Kamala mains water supply upgrade will take only one day, but areas in Wichit will suffer until next Tuesday (Oct 27).

PHUKET: -- Mains water supply will be shut off in selected areas of Kamala and Wichit from Thursday (Oct 22) as the Phuket Provincial Electricity Authority upgrades major power cables serving mains water pump stations.

The Phuket Waterworks Authority (PWA) announced the shutoffs in a notice posted on the office’s Facebook page (click here) yesterday (Oct 20).

In Kamala, the affected areas will be along in the “Surin Beach – Kamala Road”, said the notice. The shutoff will start at 9:30am and continue “until the process is complete”, but works are expected to take only one day.
