Popular Post wayned
I went to do my yearly extension this morning at Nakhon Sawan Immigration. I was there when the door opened at 0830 along with four Cambodians and a Thai with a handful of passports. I sat down at the ladies desk that does the extensions and was out with another year at 0850 and my 90 day report date reset to zero. There was actually a 5 minute delay as the boss had to sign and was late. I used a copy of my Thai Driver's License as proof of address with no problem. 15 minutes at the US Embassy yesterday to get my Income Affidavit and 20 minutes today to get a 1 year extension and a new 90 day report slip. Can't beat that.

wayned
According to the lady at NS immigration, they actually report to Chiand Mai Immigration. In the past she has told me that CM was tightening the rules and next year I would need actual proof of income in addition to the Income Affidavit but that has never happened. I asked why farangs were having so many problems at CM immigration and her answer was that there were too many farangs conducting business illegally on the internet. I don't know if that is her opinion or and overall immigration opinion.
