I am hoping to find a broker in Thailand to deal in Thai shares that offer a leverage of 3 or 4 times my initial deposit and that will also let me short shares as well as buy.

Are there any brokers like this?

I've seen I can get an account on credit that requires settlement in three days however positions are likely going to be for 1 month +.

I have a wp if that opens any 'special' doors to my requirements?

Do you mean margin trading? If so, a quick Google search will provide you with Thailand brokers who offer this.

(Leveraged trading usually refers to FX or derivatives - not equities.)

I've 3 separate accounts with KGI:

1) equity cash account that can be used to buy shares for cash

2) equity credit account that can buy shares within a credit limit

3) derivatives account that can be used for futures, options etc on TFEX

Only the 3rd one allows me to short or effectively take leveraged positions. So the shorting and leverage is via derivatives not equities/shares.
