In my experience it was indeed happening, even 40 years ago, when I was in my early 20s.

I was living in Asia at the time and yeah, some guys I worked with may go over and indulge but I don't think it is the extent it is now.

I wish we had all this internet stuff for meeting girls when I was that age!
