Obviously I'm not entering on tv as I stated.

I have only been here for 4 years. Newbie. I know.

However can you direct me to a post where someone has a tv back to back and has been refused entry. Excluding those without funds or suspicion of working in los. Get back to me after your search

No because I didn't say anything about people with back to back visas being denied entry!!!

So that means anyone can remain in Thailand on an ongoing basis based on using tourist visas. I see you finally understand the RULES.

What are you talking about! Of course anyone that is issued a tourist visa and enters Thailand for the purpose of the visa can stay here as long as they are issued visas!

The discussion you jumped in on was about tourists being affected by the abuse of the system. The length of time someone stays here is irrelevant it is only the activity while they are here that determines the abuse. But you have highlighted another victim of visa abuse in that the genuine long term tourist may find it harder to stay here due to toughening application criteria.

Perfect reply. So folk can live in Thailand LONG term with existing rules. Sounds like what I have been saying so far. Glad we agree. So let's get it correct. .if a punter is using back to back tv for add infinitum that's fine with you. Welcome to thai visa rules

The only problem that arises is where the next TV comes from when the "punter" has worn out their welcome at nearby Embassy's/ Consulates.

Travel , visas and new new passports strain resource which perhaps explains the number of over-stayers !

Once I take your point. There have Been many posts where certain consulates have jacked up about repeated tv applications. I think just means you need to mix and match, so to speak. Maybe instead of someone's, standard visa run or trip to obtain new tv they opt for a mix of different consulates

Jacksam, could you please fixed your many posts in this page with broken quotes?

That makes the forum very difficult to read...

It's the forum that breaks it up like that. Thaivisa needs some digital nomad to go into the backend and increase the default number of nested quotes to more than 4. I'd offer to do it but not sure if I'd need a work permit to stay legal.

Unsure...

Elviajero's post above has 3 levels of quotes and display fine.

Last jacksam's post has only 2 levels and display wrong. The last quote closed mark has been altered.

Just snip out the excess quotes instead of breaking it so that it will post.

Turning off coding (far left button on top of reply page) makes it easy to ship the quotes.

Edit: Jacksam's was broken because he messed up the closing quote code {/quote].
