    The agent is wrong. Most agent s don't have a clue about the embassies and consulates requirements because they only deal with immigration. Either that or they are to trying to sucker you into using their services.

    Savannakhet will even do a multiple entry non-o based upon marriage with no financial proof. Vientiane will only do a single entry visa.

    Thanks for update; i will take bus to Mukdahan on Mon / Tue.

    It will be my first trip to Savannakhet.

    What set of documentsis currently needed for non-O (marriage) ?

    I would appreciate recommendations for a cheap but clean hotel in Savannakhet.

    Marriage certificate plus a copy, signed and dated copies of your wife's house book registry and ID card.
