Trip to Pattaya

Recommended Posts

I need a change of pace to something more exciting and I want to visit a beach.

I have been to Pattaya before, but only for the day as a short trip from Bangkok. This time, I'd like to stay a few days.

How much is it to drink in a bar... go go or regular.

Also, where is the best place to stay close to nightlife.

I have been to Phuket, and heard Pattaya is cheaper. I hope so :)

Pattaya is party central. I suggest you just go and learn as you go. Everyone there is an expert so will gets lots of advice of where to go what to do there from any barstool. farang.

Depends are your budget but have holels from 700 baht up all along second road. The Diana is an old one but good location for walking distance to many things and baht bus goes right by. Pattaya is all about nightlife you have be there a while to decide for yourself which part you like the most. It it all depends on your age what you like etc.. In 2 days you will be ale to decide whats for you.

Good luck and have fun.

This may help give some definition to the OPs enquiry - http://www.pattayabarguide.com/

Prices - definitely cheaper than Phuket.

Beers vary from 50 baht a bottle in some bars to 160baht in "clubs". Eg a small bottle of Singha in The Walking Street Disco (the one with the car on the wall) is about 120 baht. Go gos often have cheap draught offers.

So many. Without a price range it is pointless.

There are many decent places below 1500, if that is cheap enough?

Cheapest I have seen advertising are 160 blink.png "Basic" so to say whistling.gif

The sky is the limit.

Also the nightlife stretches all over. But Pattaya is a comparably small place.

Transport is cheap and easy.

MUCH much cheaper than in rip-off central (Phuket).
