Can anybody help please ?

Many people are talking about single entry and double entry visas to Thailand and the introduction of the new METV but what is happening to the triple entry visa I use and have done for 4+ years ? I visit Thailand for a maximum of 6 months every year but now plan to also come for an additional 5+ weeks during the year extra. I am a condo owner. Many thanks

People were talking mainly about double entry because this was the best available in neighboring countries.

Staying 6 months and 5 weeks "continuously"?

Would be possible with METV.

Check with the embassy/consulate what they require for METV.

The METV is replacing 2 and 3 entry tourist visas. After the 13th neither will be available. Single entry tourist visas will still be available.

If you now have a 3 entry visa you can get almost 9 months of total stay from it by extending each entry for 30 days and doing the 3rd entry on or before the enter before date on the visa.

If not you could get a single entry tourist visa and then go out to a nearby embassy or consulate to get another one after getting the 30 day extension of the 60 day entry. After that or between the two visas you could do a border crossing for a visa exempt that would give 15 days or 30 days if you are from a G7 country and then extend it for 30 days at an immigration office.

The METV will be introduced on 13 November 2015. As of that date double/triple entry tourist visas will not be available.
