Hong Kong celebrities visit Erawan shrine at Ratchaprasong intersection

BANGKOK, 9 November 2015 (NNT) – 15 famous celebrities from Hong Kong have visited the Erawan shrine at Ratchaprasong Intersection to celebrate the anniversary of the establishment of the shrine.

The Tourism Authority of Thailand (TAT)’s East Asia Market Division Director Worapa Angkasirisap has given Hong Kong celebrities, including Helen To and a famous tourism TV program host, Roger Wu, a warm welcome.

Ms. Worapa said their participation in the annual ceremony to celebrate the establishment of the shrine is part of the marketing campaign entitled ‘Stronger Together’ which was created by TAT’s Hong Kong Office.

It is meant to raise confidence amongst foreign tourists after the bombing on August 17th. The TAT is expecting 70,000 tourists from Hong Kong to arrive in Thailand by the end of this year and expect that they will generate as much as 20.3 billion baht in revenue into the Thai economy.

Let's hope they have the appropriate visas to allow them to do any promotional activities for TAT.

We don’t want them getting caught up in the Labour Ministry Cracks Down. http://news.thaivisa.com/thailand/thailands-labour-ministry-cracks-down-on-foreign-models-working-without-work-permits/120339/

TAT expecting 70,000 tourists from Hong Kong to arrive by the end of this year and expect they will generate as much as 20.3 billion baht in revenue into Thai economy (equates to ฿290,000 for each tourist)!

Wonder what that cost TAT?

What a waste of money....

Seriously!

How many of their countrymen and women and children died there just a few months ago.

Thailand trying to increase tourism on the back of celebrity and themselves being allowed to be the pawns. How low can people sink!

I hope they didn't bring flack jackets.
