Hi can anyone help please?

We have a double entry visa where the original entry expires in early December 2015, if we do second entry early November 2015 will we only get the 60 days or will we also be able to accumulate the original remaining 30 days we have hence giving us 90 days, or by leaving & re-entering early will we forfeit & lose any/all original days?

Thanks in advance, much appreciated if someone can clarify this. DD

60 days from the day of entry. No way to accumulate.

But you can extend the stay from that second entry by 30 days at every immigration office, 1900 Baht.

If that helps.

  • What is the 'admitted until' date that was stamped in your passport when you first entered?

What is the 'enter before' date that is printed on your visa?

When do you plan to leave Thailand and what date do you plan to return in November (how many days out of Thailand)?

Thank you much appreciated

Thank you much appreciated

You really should have responded to elviajero who , depending on your dates, may have had some good advice about the use of a re-entry permit associated with your first entry.

In response 1st entry currently expires 14/12/15 latest entry date on visa 14/1/16 planning Cambodia trip for 2 days only.

  • You can buy a re-entry permit from immigration offices, airports and some land border crossings that costs 1,000 baht.
  • If you buy a re-entry permit when you re-enter after your trip to Cambodia the IO will stamp you back in until the 14/12 and you can save your 2nd Tourist Visa (TR) entry.
  • FYI. If you use the re-entry permit and keep the 14/12 stay alive you can also extend that stay by a further 30 days at an immigration office for 1,900 baht. You could apply for that extension in early December.
  • If you don't have a re-entry permit the 2nd entry of the TR will be used, you will lose the remainder of the 1st entry and the possibility of an extension of stay on the 1st entry.
