1 Visas on arrival are only available to citizens of certain countries , cost 1000 Bht and allow a 15 day stay
2. Visa - exempt entries are available to those who qualify, and provide a 30 day stay issued at an airport.

Visa on arrival is available if you qualify.

Only a few nationalities are. 1,000 Baht for a 15 day stay.

Visa exempt entry is available for a large number of nationalities and is free.

They've never given visas on arrival to most nationalities.

They are still giving visa exempt entries ( permission to stay without having a visa) for most people who arrive without a visa. A 30 day entry if you arrive by air and that permission to stay can be extended for an additional 30 days by applying for an extension at an immigrations office.

Congratulations. You are the one-millionth person on TV to onfuse a Visa on Arrival with a visa-exempt entry.
