second entry on 2/TR, quick in/out where from BKK and CM?

Featured Replies

Hi,

I have a double entry TR and need to do a visa run

Im not sure, since some border crossing dont allow in/out, or maybe that is only for visa exempts????

I would like to do the visa run, either from BKK, or if its very easy from Chiang Mai, i would go there and spend a few days and do the visa run from CM.

I prefer it to be as easy as possible, flying is ok

Any tips/advice is much appriciated.

Cheers

If you have a valid visa for re-entry to the country you can do it at any border crossing.

Easiest way, IMHO, from Bangkok is same day by air to KL. If you travel without luggage, security at the airport is not too annoying. Malaysia requires no visa. Flights, booked in advance, quite cheap. Obviously, if you do not mind overland travel, there are cheaper options. Some will advise a Burmese border run where you do not need a visa, but pay for a day pass.

ok, thank you UbonJoe

in/out to KL seem easy.

What about from Chiang Mai, what is the easiest visa/run from there.

Mae Sai is the nearest crossing to Chiang Mai.
