November 19, 201510 yr Hi, I had booked my flights to the trip to Savannakhet for a new non o multi entry based on marriage in December, as I have done several times before. But I now have had to unexpectedly return to the UK next week, my visa is already expired and am just on the last entry stamp. (I wont have a lot of time and actualy and I would like to be able to renew my passport there first also if theres time as there are not that many pages left). Am I right to say that consulates, Birmingham, Liverpool etc will not issue without approval from London still, so a slow service? Ideally i would like to get the visa same day and apply in person to save time, will London or anywhere do this now? Also will I need to show some money or not? I've had a quick look at the website but there not always updated and will call to confirm but if anyone has any recent expereince it would be a help. Thankyou
November 19, 201510 yr Multiple entry visas have to approved by the embassy in London. Some of the consulates advise you to send your application and supporting documents by email or fax so they can get approval prior submitting your application in person. Some will issue the visa on the same day but you have to make an appointment. I suggest you contact one of them for more info. Avoid Hull they are the only location asking for financial proof to get the non- based upon marriage. London has next day service if you apply in person and does not ask for financial proof.

December 18, 201510 yr Author For anyone interested, it was quick and easy to get the Non O Multi Entry from the Birmingham Thai Consulate in the UK. I emailed the documents (below) to the Consulate while I was still in Thailand. Copy of Marriage Certificate (the website says you need an English certified copy but this is no longer needed as the Thai certificate needs to be checked by the London Ebnassy anyway), Copy of my Passport photo page, Copy of Wifes Passport/Id card, Visa application form, I did also send a copy of the Kor Ror 2 as I had it anyway but it wasn't requested. (No need to show any money/bankbooks) They told me it can take anything from a few hours to 2 weeks for the authorisation from London, I sent the email on 23 Nov and had an email back on 25 Nov to say it had been authorised, can collect anytime Mon-Fri 8am - 11am, there is no postal option. I collected the Visa on 9 Dec, paid the fee GBP125 + GBP10 = GBP135, waited in the waiting room for 10 minutes and then they returned with the passport stamped and visa dated as the collection day. The Consulate is an easy 2 minute walk from Birmingham New Street station in what seems like a shared office ovelooking Victoria Square. Quick and easy service if you are in the UK.
