am planning to spend over a month in Thailand - arriving in BKK /couple of days there/ + Phuket.

Departing back from BKK.

Does it make a sense to rent a car in BKK and drive south to Phuket /need a car there as well/ and than drive back to BKK or

maybe it is better to fly /nokair/ and rent in Phuket ?

Not in a hurry to get to Phuket /3-4 day sightseeing drive ok/ but getting back in one shot.
