What is going on with the ' winter ' in Thailand

You equated global warming denial to needing religion. You were making light of the human conditiion, weakness more like it, which is what (I thought) Movieplay was doing with the government/WMD ref. Apparently not.

The NOAA/NASAGISS is the US government. What we were talking about were the charts that have been altered over time by the NOAA and NASAGISS, that doesn't have anything to do with 195 other countries.

The comparison to the iraqi wmd lie; there were many players like Halliburton, Bechtel, etc. that stood to benefit if the US invaded Iraq, Cheny stood on the board at HB, i'm sure you have heard that.. the invasion happens, contractors make alot of money and the US taxpayer foots the bill.

There is such a thing as the 'Global Warming Industry' billions of dollars each year go to firms that do climate change research, carbon credits, etc. there are people who make money in this business, algore and others have made hundreds of millions from the global warming industry that is mostly funded by the US.. if they admit that there isn't really this constant 'warming' , they can no longer justify the budget requests. It's naive to think this is all about 'environmentalism'.

Here's another example, the israeli government has admitted that they pay off duty IDF personal to defend israel on the 'blogosphere' against charges of human rights abuses,etc. and they have admitted why they do this..they are afraid that if israel gets too unpopular in the west, it could threaten their foreign aid money and the free trade agreements they have with the EU and US.. in other words its about the money, the lobbyist group is there to protect billions of dollars.

1988 Margaret Thatcher was having problems with the coal unions, she wanted to promote nuclear power but it's critics charged that it was too dangerous, soo..she latched on to this weak co2 AGW theory to achieve that end, she was no environmentalist, she put money on the table and told scientists to 'prove' that greenhouses gasses were very dangerous. Then the racket caught on on the other side of the atlantic and the rest is history.

You look at the historical record prior to 1988 and the AGW theory was NOWHERE , suddenly all this money is on the table and the theory gets a huge boost..

Really,it was 12 degrees in the mornings here in Phetchabun last year and very cold if riding a motorbike etc.

In the mountains of Phu Tab Berk it gets as low as 2 or 3 degrees.

Much depends on your location.
