Hello Everyone,

I have question about cancellation of ED-visa. My ED-visa expire on 12th Dec 2015 and i am go to change my ED-visa to Non-b. I am planning to go to Laos via Nong Khai on 7th Dec. Do i need to cancel the ED-visa before i go to Laos or i can take the cancellation letter from the university to show at exit at Nong Khai. Will they accept the cancellation letter ? Because i read in some post that they don't accept the cancellation letter and we have to do the visa cancellation at immigration office only.

Your help will be highly appreciated!

I have read reports that the Nong Khai crossing is no longer ask for the cancellation letter. Having it with you though would be a good idea.

I was at Nong Khai about 5 months ago and it was not required, I have read no reports that they have started to ask for it again
