asdmin 2... you've got a lot of free space matey...

start downloading dude!

By the way Slippy, May I guess you misstated that you would like to delete memory?

In which case you probably meant, delete files (unnecessary shit)

Well, aside from actually deleting physical files of yours (think about buying an external memory to put your docs on...)

You are prob suffering from lack of virtual memory.

Clean up and defragment your disc (all automatic> start > Programs > accesories > system tools > then first clean up your drive, then go back to the same menu and defragment.)

You'll probably also wanna make sure you don't have too many programs running down near your clock (often programs offer an "automatic start up" but they cost vitual memory too, I believe.

Things like quicktime, Skype, all the annoying messenger programs and all that.

I never have them running down below. Just means one extra click big deal.

I hope somehting makes sense there.

Open "My Computer" and on the bottom left it should display how much memory you have.

That is disk space, not Memory............

And they let you loose on Thaivisa with an admin hat?? :o

Seriously.

If you mean memory, then you have too many programmes running at the same time.

Try stopping some of the programmes listed across the bar at the bottom of your screen.

Next you could look at up grading the amount of memory in your machine.

Control Panel/System will show you how much memory you have.

I have 2Gb which is the maximum on my machine

and also means I can run just about anything I want, all at the same time.

I have just seen a pop up on my computer stating that I am out of memory.

How can you view the memory stored on your computer and delete memory if necessary.

I am running XP windows operating system/

Thanks in advance....Slipery

Several programs/utilities will give you this message, not because you have run out of physical memory, but rather the programs "overhead" memory is limited. (One example is NOTEPAD. It will give you this type message when you attempt to enter/save a very large file.)

A number of "Tweak" utilities will allow you to freeup physical memory. One such utility is TweakAll from Codeforge (UK), and best of all it is free (freeware).

Info and download here: TweakAll

(Note: There are two (2) version of TweakAll available, depending upon your operating system. Check system requirements for specifics.)
