November 26, 201510 yr I went with the kids to a special invitation only performance of Pride and Prejudice yesterday morning at Chiang Mai International School. We were all blown away with the performance. The performance was only for schools and charitable organizations. Many of the students in the audience did not have English as their first language but they were all on the edge of their seats. I don't know what it is about the drama department at CMIS. Do they recruit students with theater backgrounds and offer some kind of scholarship? Or are the students all just naturally gifted. What ever the case, they all demonstrate a very good command of the difficult language in this play and knowledge of stage technique you would expect to see in more seasoned performers. Over the last 6 years I've seen show after show at CMIS that has always exceeded my expectations. Well done to the director, cast and crew of the production! There are three remaining performances; Fri. 6:00 pm, Sat. 6:00 pm & Sun. at 5:00 pm. Admission is 200 baht for adults and 100 baht for students. Arrive early for refreshments. Here are a few photos from the school website
November 27, 201510 yr Thanks for the poster. With Stephan Turner directing -- that explains why it's such a professional production.
