Abhisit denies Bangkok governor was sacked but admits working problem

BANGKOK: -- Democrat party leader Abhisit Vejjajiva denied that the party had sacked Bangkok governor M.R. Sukhumbhand Paribatra but admitted there was coordination problem between the party and the governor.

Mr Abhisit said Thursday that it was impossible that the party had adopted a resolution to sack the governor from the party because the party, for the time being, could not hold a meeting because of the restriction imposed by the National Council for Peace and Order.

He maintained that party members could monitor and examine the performance of the city administration which has impacts on city residents such as the installation of surveillance cameras which was suspected to be not transparent.

The Democrat party leader said he had made it clear from the very beginning that the party was held accountable to Bangkok citizens for the performance of the city administration and the party should be able to explain to the constituents if they have any doubt about the performance of the city administration.

There is no conflict between the party and the governor, he insisted.

This Thai is not to be trusted.

And the other is even worse!

a "coordination problem" Thai style :

Abhisit : will you do bla bla bla?

Sukhumbhand : no!

Let's see....

The governor has been sort of sacked by a sort of political party which might be a real political party if real political parties were allowed to exist.

Can we assume this to be a work in progress?

Sort of....?

The one before Mark was much better. I miss the time of Chuan Lekpai and Surin Pitsuwan.

"the party, for the time being, could not hold a meeting because of the restriction imposed by the National Council for Peace and Order."

If only Suthep believed in those restrictions.

Millions of Thais voted for him.

How many would vote for you?

Abhisit admitted there was coordination problem between the party and the governor.

Yet the broadcaster we can trust also notes (in their articulate and concise manner) that Abhisit also:

maintained that party members could monitor and examine the performance of the city administration which has impacts on city residents such as the installation of surveillance cameras which was suspected to be not transparent”.

Opaque as mud, with a hint of corruption slung in.

What has that got to do with it? He still got millions of votes which means that a lot of Thais trust him.

How many would YOU get?

As for me I would get none, but I know and accept that.

That logic would even be considered childish at pre school

You could say the same about Thaksin.

Do you trust him?
