BANGKOK, 28 November 2015 (NNT) – The 4P principles for sustainable development were discussed at a previous ASEAN Summit among national leaders as proposed by Thailand, said Prime Minister Prayut Chan-o-cha in a TV broadcast program.

The prime minister said the recently concluded ASEAN Summit which took place between 20-22 November 2015 in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, discussed the proposal for cooperation enhancement in the region and sustainable development under the 4P principles.

The 4P principles; which call for focuses on People, Planet, Peace and Partnership; regard people as the main target of economic development who will have equal access to facilitations, the conservation of the planet on key factor in such topics as global warming, the maintaining of peace as Thailand supports the United Nations’ peacekeeping operations, and the creation of partnership in the ASEAN region and at UN levels.

The prime minister has also proposed to the summit the Civil State concept under which all nations will foster cooperation between the government and people as well as cooperation among the people to strengthen and promote mutual growths.
