I have an American Passport.

I will apply for a 60 day single entry Thai visa. I am planning to extend it to 90 days.

I have a paid airline ticket. Paid.

But my airline ticket shows I will be returning in 90 days, not 60 days.

Is this airline ticket OK for applying for a Thai visa?

I can change the return easily to 60 days, but I may loose my desired seat to return in 90 days.

Should I change my ticket to return in 60 days or leave it as is to return in 90 days (best for me) even though I am applying for only a 60 day visa?

Suggestions appreciated.

When you have a valid Visa (Single Entry Tourist Visa) it's no problem, so you don't have to change your ticket.

Sorry misread, I thought it was for the Airline / Immigration and not for applying Visa.

It depends upon where you are applying for the visa. Many will accept a ticket out that is 90 days from entry. Some do not ask for a ticket at all.

Do you have residency in China? If not you will not be able to apply in Beijing.

You should contact them to find out if they will accept your schedule.

I have a 10 year visa in China, but not residency. I have applied without problems at that embassy before.

I can only quote what the embassy website has on it. You should check with them about the ticket out and the other requirements.

"Please note that the Royal Thai Embassy will only accept visa application from individual(s) with residency permit in china, providing that the residency permit remains valid after completing the trip to Thailand."
