My legally married Thai wife and I have raised a Thai boy from birth. He is now coming up to 15 years of age.

No. 1- Can I, a British subject, adopt him? my wife? or both of us? His mother is still living and she and our 'son' are in touch occasionally. She would agree to the adoption.

No.2- If he is legally adopted would he be able to obtain a British passport?

I would be grateful for any sensible comments and experiences before I contact the various Offices.
