Thai Police and NCPO sued by 'plotter' still in jail

This is how thick these people running the country are. This from another news source;

Gen Prawit said that although Thanakrit was in prison he must have done something against the law, otherwise the court would not have approved the warrant for his arrest.

So you make an arrest warrant without checking where he is? A good example of the frequent bad job attitude from the BiB brigade.
If it is true that he was involved, they have some serious problems at Khon Kaen prison, and somebody is not able to do their job properly.

However this assassination plot comes at a mighty good time when the many questions regarding the statue park just will not go away. Both the Nation and BKK post still pokes questions as to how this park is financed - and with threat of attitude adjustment they keep on going. Apparently it is too important a case that the journalists are willing to take a risk, so there might be a fire despite the smoke screen.

Let's have a few FACTS, shall we?

Back in 2014:

1) a, new, paramilitary organisation planning terrorist actions calling itself the 'Khon Kaen Model' was uncovered.

2) Mr Thanakrit was arrested with several other active members of the 'Khon Kaen Model' and jailed.

3) the UDD vehemently distanced itself from the 'Khon Kaen Model', affirming it had no links at all with it, nor knowledge of its plans.

4) Mr Thanakrit was granted bail(!?!), but the bail was withdrawn after his former wife accused him of selling her car without her consent using forged documents, and he thus remained in jail.

Present time:

5) Lawyer Ms Benjarat declares her TEAM(!) visited Mr Thanakrit in jail on Saturday to ask him to AUTHORISE them TO REPRESENT him.

Now my question:

As hiring a lawyer, and the more so a team of lawyers, must represent quite high expenses, who might be the generous persons paying for Ms Benjarat and her team, it can't be the UDD, as it didn't have nor wanted to have anything to do with that 'Khon Kaen Model, but then who?

Footnote:

It is not possible the UDD would have changed its mind and would, now, at once, consider Mr Thanakrit as an interesting part in the ongoing organised agit-prop campaign aiming to create a diversion maneuver to help Yingluck in her rice scam problems, and the seizure of Billions af Shins' assets, is it? It would be machiavelic! Or are 'the reasons' for supporting Mr Thanakrit of an even darker nature, linked to his new arrest warrant...?

Facts? cheesy.gif

Fabrication.

That was after the coup and the military swept up a group of geezers and tossed them in jail. No proof of any plot, etc. Most have been rotting in jail without bail since just after the coup and they are still waiting on a trial - in a military court.

As for lawyers and their fees and paying for them, there have been people and organizations which raise money for red shirts' defense for some time... Some of us recall that one woman who did that kind of work disappeared for 3 weeks right after the coup, the generals denied that they had her, then later after a video showed her being arrested and taken away, admitted that they did have her, made a video of her saying how her detention was "too good for words to say" and that she wanted to stay longer... and as soon as they let her out she fled for her life and is now living in exile. After she fled, the military magically linked her to suppling arms to those MIB the military also nabbed back in 2014 and paraded around on the news, appropriately dressed in black, for a while. Seems that helping red shirts in legal trouble is dangerous work under this regime.

hmmm, .... yeah, facts... you got 'em... not.

They issued an arrest warrant for someone already in jail.... Lol

Strange as it seems, prisoners in UK prisons can be arrested too.

The arrest is for a different offence.

And do you have evidence to prove "the facts" as you see them?

Of course, red shirts and those who help them would never ever lie, just like their sponsor and dictator.

That's the problem in a world of liars - no one really knows the truth or the "facts".

And your's are no more provable than his.

Police and NCPO sued by 'plotter' still in jail

Re: khon kaen plots and the like, if there is anyone out there who still doesn't realize that this self-appointed "PM" and his "government" just makes this stuff up, then please step forward...

Which bit are you having trouble with ?. Let me help:

This guy is on a list as a member of the red-shirt terrorist group. Someone got caught and implicated the group. So they issued arrest warrants for all of the known members.

Whoever did it was obviously unaware that this particular scumbag was already in prison.

It's called a mistake. You should know what that is : I expect you make many every day.

Quite how anyone can sue for someone issuing an arrest warrant I don't know. Being arrested simply means you are taken in for questioning. If they don't charge you they will let you go.

But carry on with the usual denial right up until something is proven. Then ignore it completely and deny the next thing. And repeat. And repeat. Just like the terrorist murders of 30 protesters. Who did that again ?.

you really like military juntas, don't you?

go ahead and research the khon kaen model and you'll find that it is a fabrication of the junta in the first place.

as for proven and not proven, this junta alone has already a long record of jailing people for zippo, having people just disappear, having others not disappear but just die while in their custody, never an investigation, bodies cremated immediately, they have dished out the longest LM sentences in the history of Thailand from their military courts, then there is the nearly banal censorship and daily assault on basic human rights.. not to mention they run some of the most corrupt schemes while claiming to "clean up" corruption, ...

Oh yeah, your terrorist murders of the 30 protesters, really, you should educate yourself about how many and who were killed. Not that the PDRC killed anyone, used grenades, got into gunfights, assaulted people or anything of the sort, right???

PS; thanks for "stepping forward"... should have known that you would... coffee1.gif

Of course, you would condemn those Red Shirt terrorists who murdered innocent children and those Red Shirt, UDD and PTP who clapped and cheered on stage when receiving news about the murders.

Wouldn't you?

Hey, those murders were committed against people protesting against a corrupt and incompetent government, one bought and paid for by our own dear Shinawatras. As such, killing is them is a legitimate form of political expression, and the basis of red democracy.

actually, they are, ...

let me add that I did not mention anything about Kritsuda's account of her detention. Everything I talk about are events which have been witnessed and reported and documented.

Now for the parts which are not verifiable facts, ...

Of course Kritsuda's account about her detention describes coercion and torture. Since it was never investigated and since there is no chance of it being investigated in an honest way, and since the military detentions are completely secret with no documentation, record or video of prsioners' time in detention, there is no way to know if she made up her story or if the military is lying when they say she wasn't tortured while kept prisoner for 1 month.

It's a hard call, isn't it? Well, except for the fact that there have been many cases of both accusations and verified torture by the military... If I were a betting man, ....

When the facts I wrote down would be 'fabrication', could you please, one by one, tell us what the true facts were, according to you?

I couldn't find anything of that kind in this post of yours, nor in the next one. Would it only have been the systematical denial of anything not in favour of the Shins/PTP/UDD/reds, maybe? Nothing else needed in such case, business as usual...
