Gov follows up on major investment projects

BANGKOK, 7 December 2015 (NNT) - The government is following up on the progress of various major investment projects, particularly the 20 mass transportation projects valued at 1.79 trillion Baht which must conclude their contract bidding processes by 2016.

A survey revealed that the high speed railway projects for Bangkok to Hua Hin and Bangkok to Rayong are behind schedule. Therefore, Transport Minister Chatchai Thipsunaree has instructed the State Railway of Thailand to move forward with hiring the project’s research team which will likely take 3-4 months to conduct studies and analysis of the projects.

Mr Chatchai revealed that the remaining 18 projects are progressing as planned while his Ministry will establish a committee to closely monitor the progress of all projects.

As for the budget disbursement for the first two months of the 2016 fiscal year in October and November, the Comptroller General's Department Director-General, Manas Jamveha revealed that 568.573 billion Baht has been disbursed for the two months, exceeding the planned budget by 2.3 percent. Of the amount, 34.993 billion Baht was used for investment projects.

Is the fiscal year here equal to the calendar year?
The first two month of the 2016 fiscal year = October and November 2015?

568.573 billion Baht disbursed for the two months.
34.993 billion Baht was used for investment projects
533.580 billion Baht rest was used for what?

For my taste the quality of the content of this economic- and state - budget - reportings are mostly very unsatisfactory.
