Following my last Visa Entry ...can I get 1 exempt by crossing land border?

Featured Replies

After using my triple entry Visa can I get an exempt at a border crossing once? Obviously It's not a back to back exempt.

Thank you, unsure.png

Yes you can get a visa exempt entry and then extend it at an immigration office for 30 days.

Reference the exempt at border crossing. How long will they give us at Maesai?

Thank you,

if someone arrives at suvanabhumi and get a 30 day exempt ( his first visit to thailand after many years) , can he go to a land border and get another exempt?

The initial 30 days can be extended by 30 days at any immigration office for 1900 Bht

If a second visa exempt entry is sought at a land border 30 days is only available to those from G7 countries otherwise it is 15 days.

Thank you,

You will not be able to do a crossing at Mae Sai to get another visa exempt entry. They do not allow out/in crossings to get them. The nearest crossing to get one is Chiang Khong.

If you plan on staying longer than the 30 day extension you will be getting it would be best to make a trip to Vientiane to get a single entry tourist visa.
