I noted the excellent advice from Sunbelt and would appreciate advice also.

Will a marriage certificate, as-is, from the Philippines for a UK national (Me) and a Philipina wife be eligable for my wife to be covered for a spouse visa or will it have to be notarised by either or both Embassies/consulates for it to be valid for application.

As far as the marriage certificate question, it needs to be authenticated at the embassy and then taken to a shop that does translation. They should also be able to take it down to the Ministry of Foreign affairs to get it registered there.

From what I understand, you can get your wife added onto your working visa. But Sunbelt will better answer this question.
