Baht Bus Routes

Featured Replies

In Muang Ubon Ratchthani, the baht bus have a colour (blue, red, green, etc.) on them that indicates what route they travel. There are maps posted on the street that show the different coloured baht bus routes. Passengers know in advance of getting on the baht bus, where a particular baht bus will travel, just like normal buses.

Why doesn't Pattaya have such a system?

Same system in Khon Kaen.

They even hace a useful (adequate) amount of Baht buses, not clogging the roads with empty buses bumper to bumper.

But you know thats Isan, undeveloped world.

Indicating route on a bus is for crybabies cheesy.gif

Agreed, it's a pain in the ass. I've learned the hard way that when getting on at 2nd Rd, always ask the driver if they are going to Beach Rd or you might end up turning right then needing to get off & getting on another baht bus to get to your destination.

You are new around here.

The baht buses are a rule unto them selves. There are nominal routes to and the baht buses have them on the side of cabin, however at any given time they can and do change which direction or route they are traveling. This change can happen in spite of the driver giving assurance of intended route.

Pattaya..... Rule number 1.....there are no rules.

Rule 2....see rule 1.
