December 12, 201510 yr In Windows: click the "Start" button and then type: cmd<ENTER> <ENTER>: hit the Enter button. Now type: ipconfig<ENTER> In the output look for: Standardgateway The IP address of the router is shown in this line. Its surprising that a DLINK router is not set to 192.168.1.1 does not allow access What message exactly does the browser show? Edited December 12, 201510 yr by KhunBENQ

December 12, 201510 yr As others have already stated, if connecting via DHCP then the GATEWAY IP address should be the webconfig address for most residential routers. Sometimes the embedded web server locks up or otherwise fails and you'll need to power-cycle the router (power off / count to ten / power on) and try again.
