Digital Electrics expat TV: experiences

Featured Replies

Just get yourself an Android box for about 2000 baht, and install the apps yourself.

Forget it, all these firms disappear with the service, a couple of months after you pay them.

I agree, that is why (IMO) a service like ThaiExpatTV or iLikeHD as added value (for a Non Tech Savy person)

Edit: Spelling (what Elze)

If you want UK tv Thai expat tv is the way to go , especially as it has 10 day catch up no worries about recording or watching live tv at silly times.

correct - OP, just ask yourself what profit is there for the company to operate for more than, say, 4 to 5 months ?

you should look for a subscription-based offer.

When I could see CTH going belly up didnt pay the bill for 2 mths as there was no chance of getting our deposit back.Then switched to Expat TV with 365 Sport built into the package.I am tecnicaly challeged if anyone thinks I have taken the long road.

Best selection of programs I have ever had.Ok its 4,600 something to set up and 1,200b month for the 2 but it works perfectly on 3 BB's lowest internet plan.

I love the replay option, no sitting up to 3am to watch Champions League football. Many of my favourite Oz TV docos are there and a good movie channel,Sky

and BBC channels. They email an invoice monthly.Take it to the banl or 7/11.If you go away you can just renew when you get back.Never had a single interuption.

All on the web site

As long as you can avoid the clutches of the cable tv bandits ...anything is better than them.

Had TMN cable for the last 5 years, for 300 baht a month it's great value.

I've been enjoying ThaiExpat.tv (basic plan, no set-top box) for the last two years, and, it works fine on the entry-level BBB plan. Ten day retention, and being able to record are, imho, good benefits.

cheers, ~o:37;
