What are the chances of my 82 year old mom who has been making border runs to mae sai for three years, getting a retirement visa. She gets about $800 usd per month into her us bank and could come up with about $2000 savings. She is not an invalid her health is good.

For a retirement visa the pension amount is Bt 65,000 pm which is

over 1,700 US per month.

Better than having to leave the country or having to work around VOA's and Tourist visas - however the rules may change or be interepreted...

You may be joking, but my Mom got into a fist fight with a woman at least twice her size, at a senior citizens activity center..... she was 77 at the time...

"Damnn woman took my chair" were my Mom's words...
