New TV laws in effect? Is Laos okay for back-to-back?

Featured Replies

I just got my last visa (double entry tourist visa) at laos, got it extended, and it will expire early next year. Can I go back to Laos and get a (sigh) single entry TV? Or, is this not possible since my last was there? What about Vietnam?

There are no new laws.

If you have only gotten 1 or 2 visas in Vientiane you can easily get a single entry tourist visa there.

I thought they had gotten rid of the double entry tourist visas? Is that not the case? I have one visa from vientiane in about 2009 and one several months ago. A double entry would be fantastic if possible. Thank you.

Only single entry. Doubles have gone.

He meant if you only have 1 or 2 previous visas from laos, you shouldnt have a problem getting another single entry tourist visa

The change of visa regulations is not a new law. Two and 3 entry tourist visas are no longer available.

could i get a single entry visa in Laos with 2 back to back from VTE?

They were doing up to 3 back to back 2 entry visas so I see no reason for it to be different for a single entry.

Nobody knows what or how many tourist visas you can get. Decision of officer depending on many factors including your nationality

60 days that can be extended with 30 days at immigration for 1900 baht.
