Where is the best place to buy decent bed sheets?

Ikea

Tell me where there is an Ikea in Pattaya.

There isn't, but the BangNa one is an easy drive away. I went there two days ago to buy a desk, and previously I got an office chair and a mattress there. All were much better quality than anything I have seen in shops in Pattaya.

Personally I have given up with textiles in Thailand. I get all my sheets, towels, dish-cloths, t-shirts, socks, handkerchiefs etc in the UK.

The only exception is shorts of which the choice in the UK is poor (weather!). I found one style of good shorts that I liked here a couple of years and I bought many pairs of them which should last me for a few more years yet.

I'm tempted to take a trip to Ikea just to stock up on a few goodies. Roughly how long to drive there from Pats?

It depends on traffic (especially things like roadworks) but 75 minutes usually does it for me from Jomtien, and I dont exceed the speed limit.

I find it best to take the motorway to Chonburi and the overhead expressway from there. The exit is signposted IKEA/Mega Bang Na, and comes well before Bang Na itself so dont get caught out. Chonburi traffic can be a bit heavy and they are altering a lot of the roads there so there are occasional delays. The other option is to go straight to the airport and then follow Bang Na from there. It probably ends up about the same in the end.

IKEA's website is very good with many details of their products. They have a store selling Scandinavian food and drink, and the cafeteria isnt bad either. If you are a "Family Member" you get free coffees and discounted meals.

What I really like is the wide choice of accessories which you just dont find very often in other shops here, at least not a sensible prices. The furniture designs are mostly not to my taste but some are OK. Quality control is good, and that's what makes it worth the trip for me.

Don't be snarky - get off your butt and drive there - you'll get high quality at good prices without getting ripped off...

Not being Snarky at all. I asked where to buy in Pattaya, not BKK, and by the time I drove a return journey to Ikea it would negate any savings I may have made. So don't be telling me what to do.Capisce? BTW, there are already plenty of sensible suggestions as where to buy in Pattaya.
