Affirmation of Marital Status

Hi sorry if this is in the wrong section but here go's anyway, am travelling to Bangkok mid March and am going to get Affirmation of Marital Status from British Embassy, was trying to find out if you can just name the City of the Amphur Office is at which we intend to register the marriage ie-(Undon Thani 21st March), or do I need to put the full address of the office at Undon. Also do I have to put the exact date,or could I just put the month down on the affirmation, Thanks any information would be much appreciated.

Information about where you intend to marry in Thailand is information which is not required to obtain an affidavit.

Hi Singerman, Thanks for your reply, when I looked at the template on the embassy website is says- "A Marriage is to be solemnised between me and Mali Jaidee of 123 Wireless Road,Pathumwan,Bangkok 1033,Thailand a Thai National at Bangkok in May 2014" so this to me reads as they are getting married In Bangkok in may2014, so you are saying I do not need to put place of marriage down and it will still be accepted and by the embassy and the Amphur Office,

In the example that is the address of Mali Jaidee, the Thai fiancée, not the address of the ampur where they intend to register the marriage.

So in that part you put your fiancée's address.

Where in the example it says 'Bangkok' you put Udon Thani; assuming that is where you intend to marry.

As per the example the exact date of the marriage is not required, just the month and year.

Remember that after obtaining the affirmation witnessed at the embassy you need to get it translated and then have it legalised at the Thai MFA in Laksi before going to the ampur.

I thought you had to go to the Trendy office and not the Embassy itself. Can anyone confirm which address you have to go to.

Trendy is only for passports and visas for the UK. Everything else is still done at the embassy..
