NON O Visa Penang

Featured Replies

Hello All

Looking for some advice please.

I am going to the Thai Consulate in Penang in January to make a NON O Visa for myself.

I am a UK national and my wife is a Thai and UK National.

We were married in the UK so we have a UK marriage certificate.

I made a NON O visa in 2014 at the the Thai Consulate in Glasgow and the supporting documents I had to produce were our marriage certificate , a photo copy of my wifes Thai passport and 2 pictures of myself.

What supporting documents will I need for the consulate in Penang?

Any advice would be much appreciated....

You will need your marriage certificate plus a copy, signed and dated copies or your wife's house book and ID card.

If applying for a a multiple entry non-o visa you will need to show at least 100k baht in the bank or proof of income.

Hi Joe

Thanks for the info, it's much appreciated.

I have 2 more questions if you don't mind.

Will my UK marriage certificate have to be translated to Thai?

Does the 100K baht have to be in a Thai bank acount or is my UK account ok?

Your marriage certificate will not need to be translated since it is in English.

Your UK bank account will be accepted. If you did not want to show the financial proof you could get the visa in Savannakhet Laos where it is not needed.
