Retirement Extension C.W., Proof of Residency?

Featured Replies

Friends using Pattaya Immigration report having to have proof of residency documents including copy of landlords ID when renewing Retirement Extension there.

I live in Bangkok and will be renewing my retirement extension in March at Chang Wattana. Has anybody been asked for proof of residency at Chang Wattana as part of extension renewal?

A friend just got his initial extension completed at CW and was not asked for proof of residency at any point in the process.

I have seen no posts saying that CW wants proof of residency for an retirement extension.

I did my retirement extension at CW a couple of months ago and no proof of residency was required.

Got my 3rd retirement extension last week at CW and never asked for it. This requiement is for other outside immigration offices and certainly not in Bangkok.

Thanks all. Good to know. My landlady is an older woman whom in 10 years, I've never met. I wasn't looking forward to trying to get a copy of her ID. In that 10 years she has never raised my rent so I'm very content to let sleeping do---um,..landladies lie.

I did my extension in Phuket recently and have to re-register my residence again before they process my extension. Reason given was I have gone out of Thailand during the year.
