Buying a new Cell Phone in Pattaya

Featured Replies

Hello all.

Ive had some bad luck with cell phones. The last 2 have gone "kaput" on me.

Could anyone recommend a decent reliable good bargain for about 10k baht?

I dont need anything too fancy, just reliable, robust and can work all the basic apps.

Any satisfied purchasers out there?

Thanks

Samsung brand have a good selection, reliable and in your price range. Head to Tukcom 2nd floor. Plenty of choices. All the best

If you want to avoid an extension of your bad luck, avoid Tukcom like the pest, and go to Numchai on Sukhumvit instead.

And Big C Extra, PowerBuy, Lotus, plus Jaymart and Gadget One in Central Fesitval. Only buy at the chain stores.

Or buy online from Lazada. Great prices. Tukcom stalls are notorious for bad/copy/fake/altered products. Sometimes, they take out things like the battery and replace them with cheap ones.

Thanks for the responses.

yes, both of the phones that crashed on me were bought at Tukcom.

Lazada online looks good. Do they ship from the Philippines?

Thanks

Not sure where they ship from. But I buy direct from Lazada, not one of their affiliated partners. 1 year guarantee. Cash on delivery. Very easy to work with. I've gotten 2 Samsung phones from them so far and their prices have been the best. Again, get one that is fulfilled by Lazada.

I think most of their stuff is obtained locally. Bought an Asus tablet recently and it was delivered within 3 days, same with a car cam, computer speakers, external hard drive etc.

Caveman here. Purchased a Samsung phone 8 years ago for 999 baht. Still works fine.

Just a bit of Xmas humour! Good luck with your search. I can endorse Lazada posts recommendation.
