jpinx
Has anyone had experience with https://www.transferwise.com ? Apparently no fees, but not sure how their exchange rates compare in real life.

crazygreg44
can recommend it. Note, after registering, the first transfer is always a promo and it is for free. much better than WU or bank-to-bank, depending on where you are from. note . . worthy to check out
mikebell
Excellent Company. You are kept informed by email every step of the way. I moved 5K UKP to Transferwise at an excellent rate. They transferred it to my BKK Bank. The whole process took 48 hours.
Hornyskunk
I've used transferwise and they are awesome. However, after repeated testing, I always found that the most cost-effective option for me is to transfer funds from my US bank to Bangkok Bank via domestic ACH transfers in the US. The difference, though, is like 100 baht per $1000. Of course, do make use of any promotional, no-fee offers you get from transferwise.
