60 days extension on visa non o multiple entry based on marrige

Featured Replies

Hello

I got a non o multiple entry visa based on marrige on Savannakhet Laos, on January I need to leave the contry but i saw on the forum that foreigners who got this non o can apply for an extension of 60 days, my questions are these :

Can i apply to this extension ?, I ask because I saw some coments where the inmigration bureau are denying this extension.

If I can apply to this extension, could be in the Inmigration office of Nakhon Ratchasima or necessary in Chaeng Wattana?, my residence is in Korat.

What documents I nedd for apply to this extension?

How many times I can apply to this extension ?

How much it cost ?

Thanks to everyone who can help me, I really appreciate how this forum works.

It costs 1900 baht.

You can apply once per entry, irrelevant of what type of visa.

You need to apply at the immigration office in the province where your wife's on the house book.

Your wife will need to be with you.

You will need the application form, your marriage certificate and your passport.

UbonJoe will give you more details I'm sure...

as post 2 but include passport photo's, and copies of your passport id page, departure card and visa stamp, and copies of wife's, id card and house book, if house book is not where you live maybe copy of rental agreement, and 1900 baht

There is no requirement that the wife's house book registry be for where you are applying for the extension.

Since you living in Korat that is where you will have to apply. Your wife will need to be with with you when you apply.

You will need your marriage certificate plus a copy, copies of your wife's house book registry and ID card.

They will want proof of residence for where you are living unless it is the same as where your wife's house book is for.

Interesting... I was not allowed to extend in BKK as my wife is registered in Surat. But then we don't live in BKK either so maybe the reason ?

You have to be living in Bangkok to apply for the extension in Bangkok. They just gave the house book requirement as an excuse for not doing it.

Getting a 60 day extension to visit your wife is straightforward as detailed above.

I assume your visa has already expired ('enter before' date). If not, and you want to maximise the stay with this visa, you should go out/in just before the 'enter before' date to receive a new 90 day stay and then apply for the 60 day extension at the end of the 90 days.

Thanks to everyone, I just want to know my visa expire on January 19, Im on time to do this extension ? or is better do a visa run, also after my out/in can i apply again to this extension ? because I read that you just can apply one time.

Thanks everyone for your time and Merry Christmas.

You should do a border run on or before the enter before date on your visa to get another 90 day entry.

You can only get one 60 day extension per entry. It is not only one forever.

as post 7, to maximise the visa do a border run the day before it expires, then you could get a 60 day extension on that stay, you can get one extension for each entry into Thailand
