MSconfig mising

Tried to run MSconfig on a computer running on Win7, can't find it. Same on an other computer sitting next to it on the same network.

I ran Mawarebyte, found nothing. Same with MRT.exe. I'm now running Spybot

Any idea what's going on ?

It should be in C:\Windows\System32 which should be on the default path.

Try a search on C: for msconfig to see where it's hiding.

For those (like me) who use Msconfig as a startup manager, from Malware forum

If you want a good free Startup Manager then I would recommend using Autoruns for Windows - TechNet Or if you want something even better (there is a free and paid version) I would recommend WinPatrol by Bill Pytlovany
