Retirement extension

Featured Replies

I arrived on October 24th on extension of stay until January 13th and a reentry permit. I am planing on going to Jomtien immigration on January 7th to renew my extension of stay and then leave again April 5th. Will my extension of stay on January 7th cover me for my 90 day reporting also? Thanks

No. Only the first extension of stay is considered a 90 day address report - once you start TM.47 you must do each 90 day that you remain within Thailand (from date of last arrival). So report will be due 90 days from Oct 24 with that being day 1. That said they might allow report at same time - if not the on-line system seems to work for most people.

Only the first extension of stay is equal to doing a 90 day report.

You will need to do your report 90 days from the date you entered the country which according to my count is January 19th. You could do your report at the same time you do your extension (15 days early rule).

OK Lopburi3. Thank you for that information. This is only my second extension so wasn't sure but now I am.

My extension of stay expires on January 13th so the 19th I would be overstay?

Report on the same day you apply for the extension. Not extension when report is due.

Thanks. I misunderstood.

Sorry to hijack this thread, but, don't really want to add clutter and start a new one.

My first year's extension for retirement expires on the 22nd May. I will probably be out of the country then and don't want to have to start the whole process again.

I will be back in Thailand mid-january to mid-March. My question is, can I get the year extension early if the 800k is seasoned and I have an air ticket to prove I'll be out of the country when it's time to extend on the 22nd May?

Thanks in advance.

Some offices will do them earlier than the normal 30 or 45 days allowed if you show them a ticket out of the country. You should contact your local office to find out if they will do it.

Many thanks.
