2016 holidays Thai Embassy Vientine

Featured Replies

Hi, Anyone know when they are closed, specifically in January as I planned to be there the 18th however their website only lists 2015 not 2016...may be its just to far in the future for them to think about it

http://vientiane.thaiembassy.org/en/embassy/calendar.php

edit title should read Consulate but there is no separate website for it?

Maybe of limited help:

After 1 Jan absolutely no public holidays in Thailand during the month,

For Laos I am not an expert, but from misc sources: also no public holiday.

That looks consistent with the 2015 calendar.

Checked Laos embassy in Germany: no holiday in January (except 1 Jan).

Think I will need to roll the dice as there are some very cheap flights to Udon thani by booking now

Book a cheap flight!

Looking at Vientiane's calendar for January of this year and here for Lao holidays. http://www.laos-guide-999.com/Laos-holidays.html The embassy did not close for the one Lao holiday shown for January.

They decided not to open on Nov 11 when I arrived there and they left many people behind a closed gate. facepalm.gif

I am going to try again in early Jan again. I hope they will be open. wai.gif
