Cancel ED Visa in Mukdahan

Featured Replies

As the topic suggests, I will be heading to Mukdahan soon and need to cancel my ED Visa. The school gave me the required cancelation letter.

I was wondering if anyone had already canceled their ED Visa at Mukdahan before crossing into Laos, and could report back how it went.

Visas are never cancelled.

If you have a single entry visa just leave .

If you have an extension of stay (not a visa) you may have to cancel at the immigration office which issued the extension.

This is clearly false information. Quite a few people with ED Visas have been turned away from the Nong-Khai border because they didn't have their visas canceled.

Not false information !

To repeat VISAS are never cancelled but extensions of stay (which are not VISAS) can be cancelled!

Mukdahan dose not require the extension be canceled prior to leaving the country.

Nong Khai has stopped asking for it to be done for some time now.
