hi all i am looking for ways to find out how i can get information online about detention centres as a friends brother is being detained in one. i believe he was arrested in phuket without visa a very large hotel bill and no money to pay any of these. does anybody no how i can get information on this?

Ask your Consulate representative in Bankgok or Phuket. They are informed of all detentions.

Sounds as if it could be an expensive bail out to me.

Why bother to help him. Some loser decides he is above Thai law and doesnt need a visa and doesnt need to keep money to pay the hotel who has been providing his board . . . he'll get deported with a 'good riddance' stamp in his passport.

I have no sympathy.
